D4U Events

The November Democracy for Utah meetup will be in Conference Room C (bottom floor) on Wednesday, November 7, at the Salt Lake Main Library at 7 pm. Elections for D4U officers will be held the FOLLOWING month (December), so remember to bring your dues to the November meetup if you're not paid up.

The October Democracy for Utah meetup will be in Conference Room C (bottom floor) on Wednesday, October 3, at the Salt Lake Main Library at 7 pm.

The September Democracy for Utah meetup will be in Conference Room C (bottom floor) on Wednesday, September 5, at the Salt Lake Main Library at 7 pm.

The August Democracy for Utah meetup will be in Conference Room 3 (third floor) on Wednesday, August 1, at the Salt Lake Main Library at 7 pm.

*** NEW DAY FOR THE JULY MEETUP -- THURSDAY, NOT WEDNESDAY ***

The July Democracy for Utah meetup will be in Conference Room C downstairs on THURSDAY, JULY 5, at the Salt Lake Main Library at 7 pm. July's meetup is on Thursday because Wednesday is Independence Day and the library will be closed. The remainder of the meetups this year will be on the first Wednesday of every month as usual.

The purpose of the meetup is to endorse a candidate for the Salt Lake City mayoral race. D4U members are eligible to vote on this endorsement if they're current on their D4U dues (which are $12 for the remainder of 2007 if paid at the meetup).

The May Democracy for Utah meetup will be in Conference Room C downstairs at the Salt Lake Main Library at 7 pm.

The purpose of the meetup is to plan for the DFA training we're hosting in June. The two main agenda items will be planning the Saturday social event on June 16 and promoting the event to the media. For more info, see:

The April Democracy for Utah meetup will be in Conference Room C downstairs at the Salt Lake Main Library at 7 pm.

The purpose of the meetup is to plan for the DFA training we're hosting in June. The two main agenda items will be staffing our table at the Salt Lake County Convention in April and planning for the Saturday social event on June 16. For more info, see:

In addition, we'll hear from several candidates for the Salt Lake County Democratic Party positions that will be voted on at the county convention.

The March Democracy for Utah meetup will be in Conference Room L-1 downstairs at the Salt Lake Main Library at 7 pm. To get to Room L-1, take the elevator to the lowest level (L). Room L-1 is just off the elevator to the right.

DFA Night School is our interactive, online training program. In this session, we will discuss strategies to build progressive coalitions in order to gain influence with elected officials. There are lots of groups out there doing good work. How can we build coalitions so that these groups are working in concert with each other instead of competing?
