&lt;p&gt;At the July Meetup, members of Democracy for Utah considered the responses received at that point, and after discussion, voted to endorse Ralph Becker for Mayor of Salt Lake City.  GO Ralph!&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;This was sent to me by my nephew who is a Marine an who  has served two deployments in Iraq.&lt;br /&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Salt Lake City, Utah -- Last October, State Senator Jay Bell told the Coalition of Religious Communities (CORC) that the ban on the food tax was &quot;dead in the water,&quot; but he underestimated, among others, CORC director Linda Hilton and her cadre of advocates.  As chief architects and agitators of the legislation, CORC proved Bell wrong when the state legislature rescinded part of the tax earlier this year.  &lt;/p&gt;
